Yifat Tamir is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who completed her master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California. She combines her clinical training and education to help a broad range of clients. Her counseling addresses life’s challenges including work stressors, body image/struggles with food, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. She also works with clients at times of transition such as moving, graduation, marriage, divorce, and grief and loss.
Yifat maintains a private practice in Redondo Beach, California. Her practice is convenient and accessible for clients coming from the South Bay and Palos Verdes Peninsula communities as well as Los Angeles' Westside, Santa Monica and Long Beach. She was previously a therapist at Oceanaire, a residential treatment facility for women with eating disorders located in Rancho Palos Verdes.
With a background in social work, Yifat deeply values the inherent worth in every individual and approaches treatment with enthusiasm and empathy. She provides a safe environment that allows clients a place for self-realization and growth. With an emphasis on working with clients' strengths, Yifat helps clients better understand their struggles and helps them build positive coping skills.
Yifat's clinical experience includes providing therapy at a residential treatment facility for eating disorders, a bereavement center, and a university counseling center. Yifat attended Mount Holyoke and Dartmouth Colleges for her undergraduate degree and received her M.S.W. from the University of Southern California where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Yifat is a dedicated clinician who alters her approach to best suit each client's individual needs.
